ALEXANDER GLUSTROM
EDITOR + COLORIST
With extensive experience directing and editing multiple award-winning feature films, shooting commercials for major brands such as Google, USAA, Geico, Jagermeister, Palmers and Georgia Power, and creating broadcast content for HBO, CNN, VH1, History, Discovery, Vice, and NYtimes.com, the breadth and diversity of my experience has enabled me to develop fluency in both production and post-production.
Editing projects over the years has given me a deep understanding of perspective, story structure and emotional rhythm – essential ingredients for a compelling timeline. It has also reinforced the importance of collaboration; being open to ideas and working well with a team is crucial to success.
In recent years, I have focused less on post production in order to hone my craft as a cinematographer. I am eager to return to editing as it is a creative process unlike any other, wherein the raw and uncut is gradually transformed into a cohesive and compelling final product. I look forward to the opportunity to work closely with directors, producers and agency creatives to understand their vision and utilize the skills and insights I’ve gained over my career to bring the final cut to life.
And on a personal note, with the arrival of our family’s first baby, I am happy to take a break from long production hours and have set up a home office that allows me to meet deadlines while also supporting and spending more time with my wife and baby girl.
